Better Business Performance and Results don’t just happen. Communication is an essential attribute to engineering success of any business as it is a key activity that every entrepreneur takes part in. Whether it is with team members, potential investors or clients, entrepreneurs spend a lot of their time communicating said the Dean of the Wema Bank SME Business School.

However, when communication is mentioned, most people tend to limit its definition to writing and speaking. At the Listening School we teach communication as a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through common symbols, signs or behavior.

At The Wema Bank SME Business School 4.0 holding in Port Harcourt, we trained over 100 Entrepreneurs a state-of-the-art skill of Communication Excellence.

All things considered; it is clear to see that Listening can be used in training and development to help teams better understand how to communicate more effectively, making more efficient use of time and resources, while reducing stress in the process. Communication is much deeper than a mere skill an entrepreneur simply needs to attach to a business. Instead, it is a valuable asset that must be cultivated and allowed to permeate every facet of life until it becomes as easy as breathing.

A participant re-echoed that “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” This training is designed to fill that gap in training and knowledge through Listening. It ensured that at every touch point of the business, effective communication could be said to have occurred.

Communication Expert and CEO of The Listening School in her closing said that Effective Communication Skills will guide the entrepreneur to be resilient, sustain success, and enter an exciting and fulfilling business opportunity successfully.

Given the costs of poor communication, it makes sense to put some time and effort into improving the way teams communicate, specifically how they leverage listening to improve business results.
